The Maryland City Mustangs U-8 girls' soccer team got three goals from Allie Ritter, the last of which broke a

2-2 tie in the closing minutes, to earn a 3-2 victory against the St. Jane's Soccer Club. Maura Devine and Nyah Doe had assists, as the teams traded goals before Ritter's game-winner. Bethel Brannon, Carley Wilson and Veronica Griswold contributed to the attack, with Crystal Krug, Cecilia Ramirez and Claira Schiffrik leading the defense. Kennedy Townsend and Griswold shared time in goal.

U-10 girls roll over Broadneck

Anissa Mose's three goals led the Maryland City Mustangs U-10 girls' soccer team to a 7-0 victory against Broadneck on Sunday. Ellie Schiffrik scored twice and Lauren Ritter and Catherine Ault each had a goal. Camryn Tracey had two assists, while Skyler Taylor, Mose and Schiffrik each had one. Victoria Comings, Jasmine Aragon, Elyssa Bellofatto, Nisha Modali and Michaela Tuohey led the defense in front of Ritter and Brandi Krug, who shared the shutout in goal.

U-9 boys defeat Cougars

The Maryland City U-9 boys' soccer team defeated the Cape St. Claire Cougars, 3-0 on Sunday. Markel Malcolm, Chad Bobrick and Tejas Khanna all scored. Jonathan Garcia had an assist and several shots on goal. Alex Seales also contributed on offense. Goalkeeper Michael Caldwell earned his second shutout of the season.

U-8 boys come back to tie

The Maryland City Mustangs U-8 boys' soccer team erased a 2-0 halftime deficit to earn a 2-2 tie against Cape St. Claire. Cristian Polio and Andy Portillo scored goals, while Jared Rogers, Ian Huckabey and Joseph Pacheco contributed to the attack. Jordan Oventura, Bobby Whiteside and Kristopher Tynes Jr. turned in key plays on defense and goalkeeper Marcel Commodore had four saves. Eric Orellana, Matthew Leight and Eric Wilson also contributed for the Mustangs.

U-11 boys fall to Harundale

Maryland City Mustangs U-11 boys' soccer team lost to the Harundale Hot Shots, 2-0. Alex Medrano, Roland Guinn and Ricky Parker played well defensively in front of goalkeeper Jay Venit. Jeremy Washington, Xavier Joyner and Caleb Likekele made solid contributions throughout the game.
